Birds Eye View of Vancouver

Within the first week that I started working for Clearly Contacts the company decided they wanted to do a Lipdub. I don’t think the timing could have worked out more perfectly. :) I didn’t film the actual Lipdub but I did shoot the behind the scenes. The best part was I got to shoot some aeriel shots from helicopter (which unfortunately only ended up being used in the credits at the end of the Lipdub). It an enjoyable but also nerve wrecking experience because the pilot literally took the door off so I could film out. Yep, scary stuff. Anyways here’s some shots of Vancity that I took after we flew over Clearly to get the aeriel shots.

Havana

In January of this year I was lucky to work on feature length film 3 Days in Havana taking their unit stills. The film stars Kathleen Robertson & Gil Bellows. The first half was shot in Vancouver then we went down to Havana for almost 2 weeks. It was an amazing experience and I’m really looking forward to seeing the film upon completion.  Unfortunately I can’t share any stills from the actually the film stills until it’s released but I did manage to take some photo’s of Havana. I didn’t post all of them here but if you’d like to see  more please check out the album I posted on FB.  It was an amazing experience to be shooting in Havana because I got to see sooo much that I would have never seen if I was a tourist. Saw lots of culture compared to the first time I went there when I rarely left the all inclusive resort I was staying in. Sad to see the conditions that a majority of the population has to live in but at the same time they all seem very happy….it was interesting.

I’ve been going through over my 130,000 photos I’ve taken over the past few years so I can post them up here on my blog to showcase more of my work. That’s what happens when you don’t keep on top of blogging updating portfolios. :( I don’t want to post them all on FB and they certainly all cant go on my website…so they will go up here!

In the Sink…Literally.

I’ve been going through some old photos to see if any of them are worthy of seeing the light of day…aka…my blog.  I came across these ones that I took of my friend Allison in the summer. It was just after I had gotten my  new light kit and I wanted to experiment with my ring flash in particular. What says experimenting better than value village clothing, high pony tail, sandal tans and sitting in my kitchen sink? haha
